the truth, and nothing but!
Welcome to my world of amazing but true!
Most of what I write is nonfiction for third and fourth grade readers about animals, civil rights, history and more. I love learning new things, and I hope you will too! I am available for visit schools, including virtual ones during the pandemic, so please check out my school visits page.

I had a wonderful time (virtually) at the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore (Chick Webb's home town) on Saturday, February 20. I am so glad they were able to host me. If you missed it, here's a link to the recording, where I share some drum exercises and a little dancing!

Kirkus called STOMPIN' AT THE SAVOY, illustrated by Laura Freeman, "an effervescent celebration."
And Feathered Quill said: "This book should be in all school libraries and will likely become a favorite of many aspiring young musicians."
School Library Journal's Verdict: "An upbeat addition to biographical picture book collections."
Check out Kathy Temean's wonderful write-up about the book: https://kathytemean.wordpress.com/
